Recently refinanced with emoney and specifically Samantha B who was great to deal with. Samantha made everything easy with clear communication, regular updates on progress, and was prompt at responding to all my questions throughout the whole process. Great customer service, professional and friendly. Would highly recommend.
We couldn't be happier with the service from Mahala and the team at Emoney. The efficiency of the service and the excellent 'hands-on' communication saw our settlement go through in a very quick turnaround and with such ease. No question was too big and every situation dealt with, without delay or issue. Could not recommend them more. And, of course the new deal and new rates are great too!

After they sign you up everything is done through the Phillipines, extremely difficult to understand and to deal with and their charges are high. Takes forever to get anything done - and they are anything but helpful. I'm very glad to be finished with this company and would never ever recommend them to anyone.
Thanks to Ross Mansfield who has been the only mortgage person who really listened and understood my issues with my mortgages. This is after 10 years and speaking to many people within this service and other banks and mortgage brokers who all have said ‘sorry we can’t help you’. He had come up with a very agreeable plan to refinance both my loans.
A few facts - Be prepared to state your name, DOB and address until you get really sick of it. Because they use an offshore (Phillipines) call centre, they have to verify your account security every-time you call. - Every-time you call, you speak to someone different so you have to re-verify yourself because of their business structure....anyone heard of 21st century security verification processes?? - An unknown number of their internal departments are based offshore (Phillipines), good luck trying to speak to the one person more than once, prepare to re-state the same thing to at least 3 people before they understand what your wanting to talk about. - Call wait times, wow, if you are impressed by being put on hold for 5-10 minutes minimum (even if the person you want to speak to is not available) after you verify your account you will be super happy with E-Money. - Account interfaces, because they are a "middleman" that takes their upfront and trailing commissions, they put their spin on your online account interface and it is honestly the worst user interface in existence. From not being able to access previous statements to being locked out for unknown reasons, again, if you enjoy not having the ability to access all the relevant information required as a financial service user you will be happy with E-Money. - They call themselves 'Mortgage Managers', which in my interpretation of that claimed title pertains to an element, albeit subjective level of proactiveness. Again, if you prefer to not have a service provider with a proactive approach to any element of you financial service management, other than taking their cut, then E-Money is for you. - They screwed up my property settlement. When the heat increases and you need things resolved, these guys are about as slow as it goes and due to their contractual arrangements with the lenders, the financial institute you actually want to talk to to get things like statements, updated payout figures etc., you cannot. Contractually they are not allowed to talk you (even though they lent you the money). If you like not having the ability to work with the actual lender and get the facts first person then you will appreciate E-Moneys 6 degrees of separation. - When you discharge or threaten to go elsewhere is about the only time they demonstrate some level of care factor and effort, well, if you were a business about to loose revenue, i.e. trailing commission etc. wouldn't you? My experience, yes has been jaded by some undesirable experiences however my learnings are: - You can get equivalent or better by going straight to the lender/financial service provider. Takes all of 60 minutes to shop around. In hind site I would have done that 10 times over given the money E-Money will take from you. - When you deal with all the tier 1 (and tier 2 lenders mostly) you are dealing with Australian based employees. - All the lenders have amazing online banking and mobile apps linking and making accessing information a breeze and you can access everything not just a subset of things as is the case with E-Money. - Did I mention the phone security verification process gets really annoying, especially when you have to keep calling them back due to dropped calls or the frequent phone hang-up?
My interest rate is over 8%. I have asked many times for a reduction in the interest rate. They want me to exit this loan and apply for a new home loan and pay all the fees that are involved when u exit a loan and start a new one. I have an excellent credit score and over $16000 in redraw yet i am still paying over 8% interest rate.
DO NOT EVER INVOLVE THIS COMPANY IN YOUR HOME LOAN APPLICATION - Our experience was we submitted ALL the necessary information to e-money on 27th April for a 12th May settlement. E money had not undertaken any processing of our information for settlement at all still by the 17th May despite ongoing chasing. So we still cant settle our mortgage. Their response is only one person works in the mortgage discharge department and is overloaded.
Rip off company, when RBA increases rates by 0.25, emoney increase home loan rate by 0.35 or more. When RBA dropped the rate by 0.25, emoney only dropped it by 0.1 or 0.15. Called many times to have a better rate, always refused. Best to use CUA for mortgage. Emoney will give you a low rate at first but then bump it up until you are paying way more than other lenders.
If you want to payout your loan it will take 6 weeks or more unbelievable
A painful 4 month ordeal to refinance our home loan. They got there in the end but still......
